Angel Food Ministries-A Wonderful way to SAVE ON GROCERIES!!! -

NATIONAL REACH

Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing food relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families every month across 45 states.

PROVIDE A HAND UP, NOT A HAND-OUT!

Angel Food was founded on the principal of helping neighbors and friends in times of need. We provide boxes of food at substantial savings that consist of high-quality proteins and nutritional items. Every month, Angel Food creates a tasty menu that consists of both fresh and frozen food items.

Because of our buying power and low overhead, we are able to sell a box of food directly to you for a deeply discounted price! That’s a cost savings that will help you expand your food budget every month.

Angel Food has no qualifiers and participation is open to anyone and everyone, no income restrictions!

BLESSINGS BY THE BOX!

Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at an average of $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60. Comparison shopping has been done across the country in various communities using a wide range of retail grocery stores and has resulted in the same food items costing from between $42 and $78.

GOOD NEWS & GOOD FOOD

  • There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions, or applications.
  • Everyone is encouraged to participate.  Some organizations/churches even encourage participants to apply the money they saved to help someone else in need.
  • Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month.
  • Food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store.
  • There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.
  • Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork.
  • Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices.
  • There is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can receive, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere.

U.S. Food Stamps Accepted

The United States Department of Agriculture's Food Stamp program has been instrumental in helping Americans get back on their feet.  Angel Food Ministries and Community Action Partnership of Dutchess County shares their vision to help those who need help, and has partnered with the USDA to support and accept orders using food stamps.

The average monthly government allowance of Food Stamps often yields less than three weeks’ worth of groceries. This frequently leads to recipients making cheaper, unhealthier food choices. Angel Food’s program can stretch those Food Stamps to six, even seven weeks worth of good food for your home.
