The mission of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Dutchess County is to recruit and place individuals 55 and older with volunteer opportunities, utilizing their talents and skills to engage in meaningful service activities in their communities.
Join the ranks of over 400 of your neighbors and friends providing much needed services to your community and its residents. RSVP volunteers engage in a wide array of community service activities including: delivering meals to shut-ins, providing transportation to the elderly for shopping and medical visits, greeting individuals and helping them organize their paperwork for income tax time or preparing tax returns, transporting and advocating for our veterans.
In 2016, members of RSVP volunteered over 61,333 hours to the Dutchess County community, with the value of those hours equaling $1,222,660. This value of volunteer time is just one way we can help measure the enormous contributions made toward improving our community. You've gained a lifetime of experience.
Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. We are a program of Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County. Our main office is located at 77 Cannon Street in Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Like and follow us on Facebook at RSVP of Dutchess County.
