The mission of the Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Dutchess County is to recruit and place individuals 55 and older with volunteer opportunities, utilizing their talents and skills to engage in meaningful service activities in their communities. As an AmeriCorps Seniors grantee, RSVP of Dutchess County is a program hosted by Community Action Partnership.
Join the ranks of over 300 of your neighbors and friends providing much-needed services to your community and its residents. RSVP volunteers engage in a wide array of community service activities including delivering meals to shut-ins, providing transportation to the elderly for shopping and medical visits, greeting individuals, and helping them organize their paperwork for income tax time or preparing tax returns, transporting and advocating for our veterans.
In 2019, members of RSVP volunteered over 55,147 hours to the Dutchess County community, with the value of those hours equaling $1,4M. This value of volunteer time is just one way we can help measure the enormous contributions made toward improving our community
Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. When you Join RSVP of Dutchess County, you decide how, where, and how often you want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to 40 hours per week. Our main office is located at 77 Cannon Street in Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Like and follow us on Facebook at RSVP of Dutchess County.

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Dutchess County, a program of Community Action Partnership, recently applied for and received funding from The Field Hall Foundation to purchase a van to accommodate the special needs of seniors in RSVP's Transportation Program. RSVP has been providing transportation to seniors in the city of Beacon for more than a decade. We offer weekly shopping trips and the opportunity to attend the Friendship Center operated by Dutchess County Office for the Aging. Field Hall Foundation's mission is to improve the lives of older adults and their caregivers in Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties.
Thanks to the Field Hall Foundation for awarding us the grant allowing RSVP to continue and improve upon the services that our program has been providing to seniors in Dutchess County.
